Hi all! To begin, I would just like to say this may be a long read, so grab a snack, a drink, your favorite chair, and get comfy.

Looking to setup a pool of your own? Still can't seem to get that node setup? Still wanting to set that Electrum server up and not sure where to begin? Want to help keep the network decentralized by mining to a smaller pool?

Let me lay the roadwork for the plan over the next few months.

-Launching of Ravennodes shop service where users can buy custom/pre-built RVN themed Raspberry Pi node builds for reasonable prices, as well as other ravencoin merchandise. Prices will be fair, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Ravencoin Foundation or where users and devs mutually agree it most necessary to contribute at the moment.

-Launching of Ravennodes lottery, which will be personally funded by our pool fee, and some earnings from the Ravennodes shop. Rewards will start at a quarter block, if you win more than once, reward increases, win 3 times, one last increase or the choice of a second node, and then winnings tier starts over. It will be a weekly drawing basis, live streamed in discord. This is a big opportunity for people that do not have access to a rig to start earning a way towards that rig for mining more blocks, as well as help those with current setups reach upgrade goals quicker.

-Launching of Ravennodes map associated with Ravennodes lottery, blue dot being our ravennodes hosting spot, orange dots being regular community members, but a new color dot, purple, to identify pre-built sold nodes that are auto registered in the lottery, as well as self-registered node lottery users.

-Launching of games sector for folks that don't even have a node yet, or folks that wish to pass time while they mine and/or run their node. The games will be little java flash style games that as you beat levels, you earn NFT tokens with real RVN value, which you can either sell on the market, or if you don't want to directly purchase a node, can trade those for a node. All ordered nodes will done with a NFT node token for your purchase, as well as a physical mock NFT to pair with it. All customization welcomed!

-YouTube Channel for the creation of content, which helps users understand the process of node setup and the IPFS cluster on Windows, MacOS, Linux, and multiple Pi OS's, such as RavencoinOs, or the basic Debian and PiOS downloads available. We will also address pool building and maintenance on those channels for those that are aspiring pool devs, as well as electrum server setup, and ways to get involved in development.

Our pool fee is 2% to fund the node lottery, you could very easily win it back. Our payout system is PROP, so rather than with PPLNS, the payout looks at the overall round contribution of shares submitted by all wallets, rather than looking at the exact moment the block is found. So if you have a crazy power outage or your internet goes down as we find a block, you will still get a reward. 🙂 We understand how hard running a rig at home can be sometimes.
