I am a 3d artist and I have a few questions regarding NFT’s (not sure if I should sell my artworks)

I am a 3d artist (been doing/learning 3d in 3ds Max since 2005), I wanna try my luck with NFTs as an artist but I am not sure if that's gonna be worth it, feels to me like I might just lose money more than I'd earn and so I'm hesitant.

Can I lose ANY amount of money by putting up for sale my gasless NFT artworks?

I'm not famous by any means obviously so would I still get value on my artwork if I put lots of months and hard work into it and it looks cool? is that enough for NFT to grow its value?

Or you have to also have some strong and powerful saying and meaning (political for example) in your artworks to sell well?

Also, how do I protect my NFT artwork's copyright so my name is always linked to it? (so I can earn from it from other sellers that bought it?)
