To stake, or not to stake? What are the risks? Were to find a good stakepool? Anybody who can help me? Any guids availible? Thanks!

I would love to stake ETH but I see some confusing signals. EG. Staked ETH cannot be unstaked until the nexts steps for ETH2.0 are finished. What are (other) risks I need to take into account? Do I need to use a wallet (which one?) or is it fine to use a DEX. Any input would be great! Thanks!
