What to do with my Ether? Stake?

Hi all – been out of the game for quite some time. I have about 50 x ethereum sitting on a Ledger Nano in a safe at the bank. I've been reading a little bit about PoS, etc but I can't find a definite, current guide and I'm unsure if this is the best thing to do long-term and security wise.

Is there a secure way I can set-it and forget-it for like 5-10 years?
