Older GPU question

I am running an old gaming computer with a geoforce GTX 1070. I am using ravenminer and my hash rate is about 12. I’m earning $2.50 a day and was trying to learn if there is a way to improve the hash rate with settings or programs or is it all in the gpu? Trying to lean small before I go big!
