I’m an addict

I've been an addicted to one substance or another since middle school. It started with energy drinks and weed, then alcohol and pills, and eventually I ended up down a dark path. I hit rock bottom in my late 20s, found myself homeless and friendless with nowhere to turn.

Today, I'm one week sober, it's a long road ahead of me, but I feel like myself again for the first time since I can remember.

Every day I buy a little bit of crypto with money that I would have spent on drugs and alcohol. It's not alot, just a couple dollars a day, but the routine of buying is somehow therapeutic.

Being an addict is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life, but crypto gives me something to channel that addiction into that might actually improve my life someday.

I just wanted to say thank you to this community of wonderful people, I love you all so much.
