Why is the new daily address count getting lower?

I've been checking this regularly for the past years, and there has not been a day in the last 3 months or so until few weeks ago with less than 100k new daily addresses. For a week now it has been declining every day. 26k today. I know usage is as high as ever, and that those addresses might be created by bots or whatever. But is there a good reason why this has been declining so much recently?
