Can Polygon/Matic bought on Binance be transferred to Ledger?

Not really an Ethereum question but since Poly is Eth’s main layer two I thought I would ask here. When I go to add the Matic app to Ledger it says to Manage ERC20 tokens please verify you have the ERC20 version before sending to your Ethereum account. Isn’t everything purchased on Binance US BEP-2 though? Does this mean you can’t transfer Matic bought through Binance to a Ledger? What if you if you have some BEP-2 matic bought on Binance and some ERC20 from Coinbase? Can both go on Ledger and does it separate them? I find the whole BEP-2 and ERC20 thing confusing.
