I threw away crypto to see if anybody finds it! (Experiment)

Tldr: I had an old wallet that contained about $18 of crypto, I printed the seed phrase on 5 small business size cards, laminated them and left them as “trash” in random locations. I’m now waiting to see if the funds move.

Story: A topic of conversation came up between friends that if someone broke into your house and found your seed phrase, would they know what it is and what to do with it!

I decided to test a theory but obviously there were a lot of variables for example, if every member of the population knew what it was and how to use it, would it just get swept up in the trash and destroyed. So I decided the best way was to make 5 copies of the laminated card (approx business card size) and leave them in separate areas that has a total population of approx 200,000 people. The 5 cards took 2 days to distribute as I didn’t want to leave them too close to each other.

It’s been around 7 hours since the last one was placed and so far there’s no movement!

Will it stay or will it go! 🤷🏻‍♂️
