Should I hold?

I know next to nothing about crypto but I wanted to get my feet wet so I bought some ethereum at around 1800-1900. It’s obviously gone up quite a bit but I see that it’s hit it’s resistance and is going back down. Should I sell it while it’s still relatively high compared to what I bought it at or keep holding. I don’t really need the money it’s more of a rainy day fund. I expected to hold for about a year or 2.
