Future of RVN, unique asset feature?

I think Ravencoin seems like a really cool project with a lot of integrity, and I'm considering doing some mining to accumulate and help the network a bit. The only thing that's stopping me is that I don't understand exactly what Ravencoin has that will allow it to stand out, and withstand the test of time. I somewhat understand the unique assets thing, but isn't that essentially just an NFT feature, and aren't there loads of platforms for creating and trading NFT's that are simpler and more streamlined? I just don't see normal folks loading up Ravencore- they need phone apps and such. Are there plans from the Foundation to make the process easier?
