newb mining question. . .

Greetings all… quick question and my apologies if this was covered before…. Mining with rtx3060 laptop I'm getting 42Mh with Ethc, but when I mine kawpow I'm getting 20Mh only (which I see is normal according to some Googling). Curious tho, what is the difference? I want to mine RVN directly to help support the network, but is it better to mine Ethc @ 42Mh? Please help me to understand this better. Thank you
