What is Crypto doing in the background that will actually be adopted or change some of the world in the next decade?

Aside from charts of doom and gloom and Trump I thought it would be good to discuss a little about the positives. Doesn’t necessarily been positives for the price but the technology behind cryptocurrencies.

As someone who mostly just buys and holds I’m quite out of the loop of the actual nitty gritty. (Which I don’t believe to be fair I’m alone in this subreddit feeling this)

I’m not talking a restaurant accepting BTC which it will never see used most likely I’m talking about big picture and just marketing.

Are we seeing blockchains adopted by Banks or with ID platforms? Are any countries seeing huge benefits against high fiat conversion fees for transfers or payments?

Whats the next stage?
