Does Ravencoin use skivyy.com for job applicant testing?
I've been applying for junior web developer jobs for months now. Recently, I got an email from skivyy.com requesting I take a skills assessment test for a job at Ravencoin titled "React Web Developer Intern". I couldn't find skivyy or Ravencoin in my list of jobs I had applied for, but I searched my email and found an earlier email from skivyy.com thanking me for my application to Ravencoin, and then another updating me on the status of my application to the job at Ravencoin, so I figured I must have forgotten to add that job application to my spreadsheet of jobs I have applied to.
I just visited the link in the most recent email from skivyy.com to take the skills assessment test and discovered that it costs $15 to take the test.
I went back to the email and read it more carefully, and realized that skivyy is the one requesting I take the test, and not that Ravencoin has requested I take the test.
The email says:
Thank you for your interest in the React Web Developer Intern position at Ravencoin Foundation. We would like to invite you to complete a technical assessment as part of our evaluation process. This assessment will help us better understand your skills and how they align with the requirements of this role. Please complete it to remain under consideration for this opportunity.
That set my scam radar off big time. I then tried searching "Ravencoin jobs", "Ravencoin careers", "Ravencoin hiring", etc. but couldn't find any good results from those search terms.
So, I guess my question are:
-Is this normal? -Is this skivyy.com company just using the hint of a possible job at Ravencoin as a way to trick people into giving them $15? -Does Ravencoin actually use skivyy.com to source job applicants? -Does Ravencoin even have a job currently open for "React Web Developer Intern"?
I tried searching this subreddit for mention of "skivyy", but didn't find anything, however I was able to find a thread from r/cscareerquestions talking about skivyy.com, and it seems pretty conclusively to be a scam.
Anyway, I just wanted to check directly with Ravencoin abuot this, but couldn't find a contact form, email, etc., so I figured this might be a good place to try figure this all out.
