The Russian Ministry of Finance and their Central Bank have agreed to legalize payments in cryptocurrency for foreign trade.

The announcement made on October 21 by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

He stated "We believe that this area should be legalized, should receive legislative regulation of this area of ​​activity. And thus, together with Rosfinmonitoring and the control services, we will be able to ensure and restore order in this sector."

Siluanov also stressed that the use of cryptocurrencies in settlements is an important area of ​​work, since cryptocurrencies can not only make payments, but also withdraw currency from the country. Therefore, according to the minister, with the legalization of this market, it will be important to strengthen the control functions of the regulator.
