What’s your bull market strategy to avoid holding the bag on the way down? Let’s help each other.

This post is not financial advice, I just think a lot of us could benefit by having a well thought out strategy for exiting a bull run in profit.

This post is also not to debate whether or not we are in a bull or bear market, let's just stay on the topic, which is, what is the best way to ride the bull and exit near the top without holding the bag on the way down.

My strategy is once massive gains begin, let's say for alts if alt season arrives, I will tighten a trailing stop to as close as 3%. Once that stop hits, I will NOT buy any dips, I will ONLY re-enter once the price passes the previous local high. This will confirm the bull is still rising. If we experience massive gains and I get stopped out then "buy the dip" I could very well be buying into the bear market, and holding the bag for years, and with alts, forever as some may never return.
