Ethereum chance to be at low 2k

In one forum (not here), someone pointed out that ETH can goes down to low 2000 or lower again before the next massive bull run of projected 6k or more. Is it wise to wait for that to invest? I see similar trend happened for BTC before. I'm not a pro! Genuinely seeking knowledge from you folks…
