Are airdrops really all the jazz everyone’s been raving about?

Meanwhile I don’t think I have ever gotten a proper airdrop come my way even after I tried my best to do tasks. The only few I got were those easy Crypto exchange quizzes or just those Crypto games that give minor rewards, nothing to shake a real leg about.

But some people seem to be making rewards in the thousands, from what I hear in the youtubes or in the space, which kind of makes it look like they are scams. Truly, some of these do look scammy and I personally question how these projects are able to giveaway so many tokens. How are they making money themselves I wonder.

Anyone who is an expert in the subject? Anyone who can chime in ?
