I don't know if this sort of post resonates with anyone around here anymore but I thought it was a simple enough summary looking at this space from a wider view.

Bitcoin definitely changed things and set the standard for permisisonless open tech but it's really still just one step and one aspect of a complex situation that crypto can be applied to..

Used to be the meme, innit for the tech, but it goes way beyond that. Id say its unfortunate the majority of the content in this sub these days is about building and extracting value over building things that are useful but I'm also hopeful that can change.
