Why does Binance charge so much gas Fees?

It's so frustrating at times, I wanted to withdraw a small amount of $ETH today from my binance wallet to Uniswap so that I can buy some $WHITE.

But on my 0.005 ETH withdrawal BINANCE is showing a WHOPPING 0.001 fees. Which I think should be a lot cheaper. From phantom whenever I have transferred to binance or from Uniswap whenever I have swapped to $WHITE previously and back from $WHITE to $ETH, it didn't cost ME THAT MUCH IN TRANSACTION FEES.

Do you guys know a workaround? I need to come to Uniswap often to buy White, but I can't keep my funds there cuz I need it to trade on binance. It's becoming hard for me.

I really wish that binance lists it atp. Idk binance is just crazy. They list shitcoins, but not the ones which are actually good and has a future. If becomes even harder for me as a small trader as I don't move around large funds here and there. One last option I have now is to open an account on MEXC and transfer USDC from my binance to MEXC and then buy from there, but again, MEXC is banned in india for some reason idk. India is really a shit country for a Crypto guy. I have to use vpn to even access their service. It's super frustrating.

Please someone help me.
