Dad passed away with 300k of crypto in Coinbase. Want to make sure my mom has no issues whenever she cashed out.
Edit. Crypto is all on a Ledger. We have everything stored safely. Seed phrase also
My dad just passed away on Christmas Day. Before he passed, he had me setup a Ledger on my mom’s phone (he already had one on his) so she could see the balance easily.
His crypto is all in Coinbase. My mom has access to his phone and legally is the sole inheritor of everything (have a trust and a will stating as much…married 51 years).
Before he passed we also setup a Coinbase account and transferred some of his crypto into her account, just to make sure it was setup right.
She doesn’t need to withdraw anything in the near future, as she has other revenue streams for retirement but my question is, should we just transfer his Coinbase crypto into my moms? Should we leave it as is?
TLDL – dad passed away with lot of crypto in Coinbase. Should we transfer it to my mom’s account now or just leave as is for the time being?
