Why would institutions ever use XRP, XLM, DOGE, ONDO, or even BTC?
I legitimately am starting to wonder about this. One of the biggest selling points of crypto is "utility" and coins like XRP and other pride themselves on their fast cross border payments. I used to be a bagholder of MVIS, a lidar company, and you would see the bagholders for MVIS say that lidar would come to self driving cars, they would daily find articles that talk about lidar or secret meetings at Audi etc to pump hopium that something big was coming. Then you see Elon Musk atraight up say lidar is too expensive to incorporate into cars and not necessary, but they use lidar in Space X because it makes sense there. Even then though, they made their own lidar, they didnt pump the stock of any existing lidar company.
My question though, is why would any institution use an asset that fluctuates like crypto? Wouldn't they just make their own stable coin that uses block chain to do cross border transfers? I'm having a hard time seeing any crypto that isn't a stablecoin used ever for this.
