RSI – Rapid Rise and Stabilization

Good morning,

I had a question about the RSI indicator…

Say a token spikes 200% and then stabilizes around that level with horizontal momentum… Does the RSI indicator adjust over time to this new price or does it remain WAY overbought from an analysis perspective? I was curious on this after never having thought of it before and never really paying much attention to the RSI until recently.

Does anyone have any good information on this or advice one way or the other on RSI correction? I want to make sure I am understanding it correctly.
