Does the price of XMR going up hurt monero as a currency?

Honestly, all things considered, XMR has a more stable price than most. But as one of the few truly anonymous cryptos, I don't think a currency that has this technology should be subjected to the ups and downs of the market. Personally, I use XMR exclusively for donations on my site. Not for tax evasion reasons, but for tax avoidance reasons, using the tried and true method of mindyourbusiness inc, which is perfectly legal. I mean, yeah, sometimes I convert XMR to USDC if I want to store it long term, but in general I try my best to use it as a currency. Nobody wants their currency to have massive value swings ya know.
