How soon do we think it will be when banks custody customers' crypto? I'm thinking of a purely custodial service, similar to Coinbase Trust Co. where banks contractually hold your assets 1:1 in exchange for a fee to cover insurance. I sorta expect to see ads in financial magazines for this service.
We know that banks are scrambling behind the scenes to position themselves for the days soon to come when digital assets are not some fringe notion, but exist on the world stage as alternatives to fiat money. Everyone's buying satoshis. Even the most conservatively snooty banks, like B of A or JP Morgan, are looking for the financial high ground as the alterna-currencies rise.
Should I be bugging my financial advisor yet?
(edit: I can't spell.)
