Aggregated Market Analysis Using Steaks
with markets being boring as hell I’ve decided to share my aggregated market analysis I do each month. I love steaks, so I use a steak approach. If the steak is well-done, I’m heading out of the restaurant to spend my money elsewhere. If it’s medium I sit back and enjoy. If it’s rare I feast, and I spend.
I use a 10 grade steak-scale.
a 10/10 is a steak cooked so dry it crumbles, euw. Time to exit.
a 0/10 steak says moo, yum. let's eat.
Here’s the recipe:
1.
Grab 3-5 random trending news on google (regardless of sentiment) the past 4 weeks, and score them subjectively on an 10-grade scale based on:
– Bullshittery
– Bearish/bullish-ness
News 1: Meta urged to consider Bitcoin Treasury shareholder proposal:
Likely bullshit, but quite bullish
Average score: 4/10, a medium rare steak. Good stuff.
News 2: The U.S. Dollar Index at 2-year high:
No bullshit, and highly bearish
Average score: 8/10, a well-done steak. euw.
News 3: Institutional Bitcoin Holdings Surge to 31%:
Likely not bullshit, and highly bullish
Average score: 3/10, a rare steak. Good stuff.
The steak for news is cooked to 5.0/10 – a half good steak. I’ll take it.
2.
Next I'll look at 3 of my favorite on-chain metrics to see what the underworld is up to.
I’ll grade these subjectively as well based on previous cycles ATH's.
– MVRZ: 3/10, rare
– Puell: 4/10, medium rare
– Reserve Risk: rare, 3/10
The steak for on-chain is cooked to 3.3/10, medium rare – a great steak!
3.
Finally I Iook at my most trusted steak-thermometer on steroids that taps into all of the above at once – the alphasquared bitcoin risk score.
Alphasquared bitcoin risk: 5.4/10. A medium steak. I'll have it.
4.
At last I combine them all to get my final filet:
(5.0+3.3+5.4)/3 = 4.57/10. A medium steak.
I’ll sit back and enjoy it, like a steak I didn’t order but kinda want anyway. What other ingredients can Improve the recipe? Lmk.
