Help me understand Gridlock

I like the idea, but got a bit confused by the FAQs, which says it “supports all cryptocurrencies,” then says “many different cryptocurrencies,” but once I got on, I found it has native support for very few coins. Even well-known ones are absent.

They say they add support weekly, but it feels like they’ve been around long enough to have more than this.

I’m not familiar with dApps, and unsure if Gridlock is really worth using if I have to connect it with non-custodial wallets, anyway. But I’m not that knowledgeable.

I know I’ll hear advice to get a hardware wallet, but really just asking about gridlock here
