Ethereum Spot ETF Question

I plan to buy more ETH Spot ETF in my Tax Free Saving Account, does CAD/USD going down even increases value of my portfolio holdings at all. Because it seems like CAD/USD is crashing hard but it seems like my ETHH ticker on the TSX still loses to actual Ethereum measured in USD. If ETH goes up by 50% in USD I dont want to only gain 50% CAD if CAD/USD is going down. I dont know what ETHH ticker is doing but I surely dont want to get same percentage returns as ETH/USD when CAD loses value.
