Buying XDC

I have been trying to figure out how to purchase XDC for a few weeks now and I have gotten essentially nowhere. Has anyone found a way to purchase XDC in the US. I know the fact that I am in the US is the crux of the issue, but was hoping it is not an unsolvable problem. I know the solution won't be as simple as finding a certain exchange and I am willing to kind of jump through hoops to make it happen, I just have no idea what hoops to jump through. If anyone has any advice or even a suggestion on where I might find advice, all of it is welcome!
