Green Crypto? Need help understanding the term!

Hey everyone,

I am writing an article about green cryptocurrencies. I am a bit confused about what exactly “green crypto” means, and I’m hoping some of you can help clear things up for me. I’ve seen cryptos like PAI and STEP on Solana referred to as green because they have very low energy footprint. However, there are also tokens that directly impact environmental issues. I have recently come across a new cryptocurrency on Solana, u/IGNA_crypto, and I really like the project. According to their White Paper they are planning to reduce plastic pollution in the world by collecting plastic waste, processing it in pyrolysis plants and produce new raw material. To me, that seems like a TRULY ,,GREEN CRYPTOʺ because it directly impacts environmental issues.

So, my question is: Can all of these be considered green cryptos, or is there a more specific definition? To me, IGNA feels like a real green crypto, while the others are just energy-efficient. What do you think? Thanks in advance for your insights!
