Purchasing Bitcoin or ETH – Australia – Bitcoin ATM’s

Hi,

Just moved to Australia. I currently have a Coinbase, Crypto.com & Metamask wallet where I purchase/hold my crypto.

Since I’m still learning, I don’t know the in’s and out’s of everything, especially surrounding the ATM’s they have here like LocalCoin and CoinFlip. (Attached one in a link).

My question; are these actually still able to make it anonymous? On these I believe it says you have to sign up with a phone number to send a verify code (which could be linked to your identity, then it scans your wallet to send the Crypto to after depositing cash).

I understand these do have crazy fees like 5%-15%.

I’m just curious to hear peoples thoughts? Is it worth purchasing through this means and sending it to my metamask wallet or will it still be identifiable to me?
