Couple questions regarding wallets

Hey there, Im not freah to crptocurrency; Ive bought bitcoin through coinbase and cashapp in the past. But need to switch over to using monero. So Im looking for a better app with more diversity.

 I have installed Edge wallet, and everything seems cool with it except Im not huge on the ID verification; I went ahead and took a picture of my Id and its been pending almost a day now. Ive also noticed that I wouldnt be able to buy monero directly but would I guess have to buy lite ointment and exchange it which would be fine. 

Are there any other wallets recommended, preferably that dont need my ID.

 Ive looked at Cake Wallet also, and it does allow direct onloading of monero but the prices were higher than wverywhere else… does anyone know whats up with that? They are claiming one XMR is around $190 whereas everywhere else has it about $20 or so less.
