Want to Create Coin on SOL

I wanted to try my hand at creating a little fun project of a coin on the Solana network.

I've managed to make a wallet on my computer using the SPL Token CLI. I've then created a token and minted 100B tokens. I'm a bit stuck on adding metadata to the token. I've tried several websites that have been posted on Reddit but they don't seem to be getting me anywhere. I've also tried installing the Metaplex CLI on my machine via npm install -g @metaplex/cli

If anyone could help me out I'd be greatly appreciative.
