Can crypto / blockchain fix the internet?

Since AI has flooded the internet I believe it is simply a matter of time until AI will cannibalize on itself and essentially train itself on its own content. At the current rate the “Dead internet theory” is not a meme, it is a prophecy. No one wants to see this happen, not even AI devs using bots to scrape Internet forums.

That being said, we do have the blockchain technology. Smart contracts that are set up to validate digital uniqueness. Bitcoin’s value storage function and Ethereum’s open dev platform in all its glory, but what if all human created content on the internet simply got a hidden water stamp of some sort. In the practical way it is already in use at (for example) online ticket commerce (see GET protocol). One piece of content is created by one individual.

An obvious follow-up question to this should also be discussed: What’s stopping future AI – i.e., even more capable AI – to mimic human behavior and finding loopholes and workarounds to receive the same “human validation stamp”? Not sure.

Am I out of touch here? Is this feasible? Is it already in use? Where can I learn more about this?
