Scammed and recovered ETH. My success story!

I don't think this break any rules but feel free to remove if it does, I see endless of posts about people losing their crypto and I wanted to share my recovery story for a change of pace.

About 3 months ago I put a sizable amount (about $5k) of money into ETH and being a noob I shared my seed phrase with a website pretending to be my wallet provider. Looking back I totally should've played around with a smaller amount to learn the crypto space but I FOMO'd in like a lunatic lol ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

Anyways I was telling a friend about this and he recommended I reach out to a recovery service he used (I won't link them here I don't want people to think this is an ad) and they were able to link the path my funds took out of my wallet which went through multiple different chains and DEXs and identified the Binance wallet these perpetrators used to off ramp my funds.

They subpoenaed Binance for me and we got the KYC info to bring to law enforcement who were eventually able to craw back my funds. All in all it took about $250 and 2 months from start to finish in the recovery process but better late then never! I just wanted to share this as a personal story for people who might be in the same position, people told me that my funds were gone and no point in trying to get them back. IF YOU GET SCAMMED YOUR FUNDS ARE NOT 100% GONE, YOU DO HAVE OPTIONS.

TLDR: Recovery service traced my funds through multiple DEX's and chains and found the Binance wallet my funds were off ramped with, subpeona'd Binance and retrieved my funds. Recovery is possible 🙂
