How comes the “Poloniex” scam is still listed on CMC and Coingecko? Do they not care? Why promote outright scams?

Why are they promoting scams?

Just yesterday someone posted in this sub about their experience. Plenty of similar stories: Here and here

Let's look at Monero for a moment (but true for other coins as well)

• Huge price divergence
• Order books are empty
• Huge volume (wash trading)
• Withdrawals closed for > 4 months

I hate to see that those zombie exchanges (other than Mt. Gox, FTX,..) just seem to live on without any consequences scamming unknowing newcomers who deposit their money into those scam exchanges.

PSA: This is of course not just Poloniex. HTX and KuCoin are scams you should avoid at all costs as well. Always do some research on the background of a CEX before depositing money.
