Step by Step Guide to L2s for CEX -> Cold Wallet

I'm starting to learn L2s and I want to understand some basic transactions first but it's hard to find an easy to understand step-by-step guide.

For example, ff I wanted to send ETH from Kraken to a Trezor Wallet, how do I do that simple transaction using L2s?
