Kraken is now price gouging retail customers on trading fees

Received an email that Kraken is now price gouging retail* on their trading fees beginning March 20.
(Just in time for the increased bull-market volume!)

• 0.16% maker / 0.25% taker

becomes

• 0.25% maker / 0.4% taker

* applies to retail traders with 30-day trading volume less than $50,000

They also have an obnoxious .0002 btc network withdrawal fee (~$15, about 5x the actual network cost). Nonsense like this just motivates me to find a new exchange ASAP.

Kraken is not the Coinbase alternative y'all think it is. I'm pretty sure it would crash twice as hard with even a fifth of the trading volume Coinbase handles.
