High fees to move to layer 2?

I thought bridging to a layer 2 like polygon would not cost much and would be a way to do some trading of old coins of mine to others that I think can earn more in the current cycle. Why is my fee around $30 instead of a few cents like I thought? submitted by /u/cheroxy |
