Best way to verify HW transactions on dApps?

Was curious if any posters are using hardware-wallets and have any advice for verifying dApps. Are there good TXN decoders? What fields should be examined? What's the quickest way to spot a drainer? Is there a site like CoinMarketCap that will show which contracts are popular and tell you how to verify that your on that contract and not a drainer? Is there a security academy that walks through this stuff? Is fluency in solidity required?
