The unseriousness of a large section of DeFi is a major roadblock to mass adoption

Every other post on here and similar ETH subs goes something like this:
"Guys, did I just loose my mom's retirement money? I wanted to transfer 980 googlidoos from this exchange hosted in Paraguay to my A$$blast wallet but using this protocol CUMbuCKET$900 was advertising on twitter with negative gas fees, next thing you know all my money's gone. Can I get it back plz.?"
Can we expect adoption by larger entities to reduce the amount of scamming and falling for scams, or will clownery forever taint DeFi?
