With Bitcoin transaction fees rising and there still being shiny new rug pulls on an almost weekly basis, why don’t OG projects like Litecoin and DigiByte get more attention and appreciation?
Litecoin and DigiByte have been around for respectively 12+ and almost 10 years, have stayed true to the principle of decentralization, don't resort to Layer 2 shenanigans and have been light years ahead in terms of transaction speed and costs right from the get-go. Seeing all the recent complaints about Bitcoin's transaction fees getting ridiculous makes me wonder why people don't look into Litecoin, DigiByte or the other OG Bitcoin forks more. From a developer perspective, building utility on top of any of them is nearly completely identical to building something on top of Bitcoin, as the (RPC) implementations are nearly the same.
I hold Bitcoin and as far as I'm concerned it's still the #1 store of value. Fur everyday purchases or moving money around cutting the middle man (banks) in the process it's simply not suited.
