This is how manipulating trust can lead to 2.35 billion dollars in assets
So today I was casually browsing through my instagram feed as usual, and this ad caught my eye. I clicked to learn more, only to find myself on the website of a trustworthy, renowned financial giant in Brazil. This is what they are promising (I am translating from Portuguese to English): // > DEFI PROTOCOL > This cryptocoin costs just R$3.00 (about USD0.60) > But it's programmed to raise up to R$300.00 in the next months (about USD60.00) > Click Here to release the name of the cryptocurrency imediatelly // Now, it's one thing to see an ad like this coming from a wanna-be crypto guru from Tiktok. But it's a completely different thing when that advertisement actually comes from one of the TOP PLAYERS IN THE FINANCIAL AREA in Brazil. To put things in perspective, I did some research on their stats. Looks at this. It's insane. That campaign was not an isolated case. This is their modus operandi. Look at the first thing you will see when you get to their homepage: So, is this happening in your countries too? Big companies using their trustworthiness to advertise crypto as a guaranteed investment? As crypto is growing into the mainstream, this is exactly the kind of thing that we don't need right now. submitted by /u/No_Woodpecker6948 |
