Looking for help accessing my ETH

Hello,

Im very new to the world of Bitcoin/ETH. I purchased some ETH back in 2018 and have been trying to access them every since. I can’t quite remember what I did and I’m trying to back track my steps to see if I can access and withdraw them.

I have an email from Coinbase showing I purchased some ETH. I can login to Coinbase with that same account and in past transactions I see two transactions- “Bought Ethereum” and “Sent Ethereum”. I’m not sure why I would have “sent” the Ethereum somewhere. Is that part of the process of sending them to my wallet? Or was I scammed and someone managed to convince me to send them ETH?

Are the funds still there on Etherscan? If so, how do I create a wallet and access them? I have a vague recollection of creating a wallet back in 2018 but can’t quite remember.
