Polkadot returns are 12.5% p.a on crypto.com’s earn, how is this possible?

I've been holding crypto for a while now and have used crypto.com's earn function for years and years and I think its great, never had a single issue, I was just browsing through the different crypto earn options and I came across polkadot which has a return of 12.5% p.a, that seems insane, I've never seen a return so high, how is this even possible, literally anyone who has a chunk of cash or crypto could live of the returns alone if they invest in polkadot earn, can someone elaborate
