Beware of crypto phishing emails

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a warning with you all about some crypto phishing emails that me and my friends have been receiving lately. They mostly fake FTX withdrawals and other exchanges that went bankrupt. I don’t know if it’s just us because maybe some scamers got our emails or if it’s a global issue, but I think it’s an opportunity for people to be aware and take some measures to protect their crypto from scammers.

Here are some tips to avoid falling victim to these phishing emails:

• Never click on any links or attachments in suspicious emails. They might lead you to fake websites that look like the real ones, but are designed to steal your login credential, private keys, or other sensitive information.
• Always check the sender’s address and domain name carefully. Scammers often use slight variations of the official email addresses or domain names, such as ftx.com@support.com
  instead of [support@ftx.com](mailto:support@ftx.com) etc.
• Use a reputable antivirus software and keep it updated. Some phishing emails might contain malware that can infect your device and compromise your security. a good antivirus software can help you detect and remove any malicious programs.
• Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your crypto accounts and devices. 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code or a device confirmation in adition to your password. This can prevent unauthorized access even if your password is compromised.
• Report any phishing emails to the official support channels of the platforms involved. This can help them take action against the scammers and warn other users about the threat.

Please stay safe and vigilant, and don’t let these scammers ruin your crypto experience. Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
