Historic Dogecoin Whales Emerge from the Deep – And They’re Making Waves!

After a 9-year hibernation deep in the crypto-sea, four ancient Dogecoin (DOGE) whales have come up for air, moving a whopping 6,818,192 DOGE, or roughly $557,157. These leviathans of legend aren't your everyday meme coin enthusiasts – they were among the original Shiba Inu hodlers, laying dormant for nearly a decade!

Here's the play-by-play:

  • Feb 5: "DGqsy…HRkx9" wakes up after 9.1 years and moves 2,043,137 DOGE ($186,364).
  • Apr 4: "DBdFd…KsoA5" makes its mark after 9.3 years, shifting 1,215,614 DOGE ($116,460).
  • May 4: "DRRnY…8ZueN" joins the party after 9.3 years, with 1,556,994 DOGE ($123,155).
  • Jun 27: "DBw7A…Ymasm", the granddaddy of them all, resurfaces after 9.5 years to move 2,002,447 DOGE ($131,178).

But these whales are savvy; some have left treasure behind. April’s and June’s whales still hold 74,257 DOGE ($5,500) and 1 million DOGE ($74,120), respectively. February's and May's? Not a cent left in the vaults.

Interestingly, all these movements coincided with "red days" for DOGE (days when the price was a bit under the weather), sparking whispers that these old sea giants might be influencing the stormy crypto waters.

At press time, DOGE is dog-paddling at $0.07407, ranking 7th with a solid $10.37 billion market cap.

Who still much wow?
