Are Balancer pool contracts all stateless?

I know the architecture design behind Balancer V2 is to have all assets managed by a single smart contract (the Vault) and this means pool are merely contracts for the AMM logic. Does this mean that the smart contracts in the pool themselves only contain pure functions, and have no mutable state whatsoever after deployment?
