Why would someone bet that BTC is going to 1 million dollars?

As we all must know by now, the CT guru Balajis made a 2 million dollar bet that BTC would go to 1.000.000 dollars by May.

Even though we all know that this is impossible, I ask myself, why would someone do a bet like this?

Even the biggest pump with the worst news of USDC collapsing and banks going down brought BTC to 50k on some exchanges but that's nowhere even close to 1 million.

So why bet on this? In my opinion he is either: 1. Trying to harvest tax loss before tax season 2. Trying to get attention and followers, but this is a really costly way of doing so
