Is the US making a huge mistake cracking down on Crypto through regulations?

Interested to hear opinions on crypto regulations and crackdowns that are affecting the US crypto market and its innovation. I think pushing crypto and Web3 away from the US will be detrimental in the long run, especially when stakes in crypto and blockchain are making huge strides internationally.
